Talking in the population decline thread we ended discussing of probable near future where we have VR AI personas and even robots which are made to meet any needs that are usually fulfilled by a partner.
Would you consider it cheating if your partner would use such service? Or would it be only porn 2.0?
Would many still want to bother to find a partner and the up and downs of a relationship?
Considering one could configure their own perfect looking artificial partner and the physical feel and intelligence would be completely natural.
Personally, if my needs are being met but my partner needs something I’m not capable of delivering, an AI assistant seems like the best of possible options. I wouldn’t feel threatened by a upgraded vacuum cleaner…
It depends on the rules and expectations the people have within their relationship. I would think it’s weird if my partner used it but I wouldn’t think it’s cheating.
My initial thought was it’s just like a vibrator/porn so shine on.
but after thinking about it, I questioned if it would fulfill a greater role in sex than just that dopamine hit.
I think this could be slightly dangerous for individuals that are alone and don’t have a social circle. I could see this making socially isolated people even more isolated from society.
