Xpat Magazine Triumph Issue Release Party December 16th @ Ze

Mark your calenders. On Saturday December 16th Kaohsiung will witness that best Xpat release party ever.
To mark the release of the fifth issue of Xpat, ‘TRUIMPH’, issue and Xpat Magazine’s one-year anniversary, we’re bringing out four bands and openeing up the doors of Kaohsiungs newest live music venue, Zero Bar, for one of the best rock shows that Kaohsiung has ever seen. We’re gonna entertain you with some of the islands finest rock n’ roll acts, get you hammered on cheap tequila shots and pitchers of San Miguel Draft, and the best part is there’s NO COVER CHARGE. All simply because Xpat loves you.

Come on out and see:

DIVEBOMB: All-original Tainan xpat punk/rock ensemble will play songs from their first cd and some new stuff too. If you missed them at May Jam, Room 335, or the Grooveyard, then go check out some of their songs at their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/divebomb86

THE DEPORTED: In between returning from their first asian tour, and before heading out on their second, these Taipei-based Taiwan punk legends found the time to come all the way to Kaohsiung for Xpat’s little 'ol release party. If you somehow managed to miss this band, which has been playing around Taiwan for five years, you can check out their music on their myspace account: http://www.myspace.com/thedeported or watch some videos on their website: http://www.thedeported.com/index.htm

FULL HOUSE: Unquestionably the finest all-Taiwanese rockabilly trio in the world. If you haven’t seen them yet you can’t miss this opportunity. Their cd, although good, doesn’t do justice to their slicked back hair, cuffed jeans, and bad-boy smoke hangin’ off their lips fervid stage show. Check out some pics and a review here: http://www.taiwanfun.com/music/0609/0609Rockabilly.htm

FINK: Closing up the night with a their trademark blend of jazz, blues, reggae, and rock, local favourites Fink will keep the dance floor movin into the early morn. If for some reason you haven’t heard of these guys yet you can read a review here: http://www.taiwanfun.com/south/chianan/recreation/0607/0607Fink.htm or check our their website at http://fink.moonfruit.com/

A bus from Tainan is in the works, details forthcoming.
