Yoga in Taipei

Hiya,

I’d like to practice yoga (or Chee-Kung) in Taipei/Taichung. Has anybody got any recommendations? I’m kinda adverse to the very commercial yoga schools. Your suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I join the request od rickychan, anyone can help us out there?

Suggest you contact Amanda Huang of Nirvana Iyengar Yoga Center. The site is in Chinese but she speaks excellent English,

Her number is at the bottom of the page and I think you can find them on facebook too.

Not sure if Swami Salami is still teaching near Guting.

Hi, I hear what you’re saying about the commercial studios. The biggest one here in Taichung is in a shopping mall. =P I run a small home studio in the Beitun district of Taichung; there’s more info at www.fulllotusyoga.com . At your service!

I don’t like commercial yoga chain either. I recommend going to smaller yoga studios where they have small class size. I enjoy the personal attention I get from smaller classes and I don’t think I’ll go back to big commercial chains. There’s a yoga studio I go to on Zhongxiao East Road. The yoga instructor speaks English and is an Registered Yoga Teacher accredited by Yoga Alliance International. I highly recommend this place http://www.yogataipei.com
