You Asked for it Tennessee Thread

But we are clearly not living in it now. Instead, the current era of the Tennessee legislature has been defined by a non-stop stream of befuddling scandals and unforced errors by a Republican supermajority that is seemingly insulated from being punished for them. That body has given the state’s Capitol press corps — a fraction of the size it was decades earlier — no shortage of things to uncover and try to explain to readers. Sometimes, the audience becomes global.

Not a good look, dumbasses.

What did they actually do that resulted in their expulsion? Every article I’ve read is full of whataboutisms but nothing about what actually happened.

Disrupted the floor during gun control talks, bullhorns and heyheyheyho kind of stuff.

Breached decorum. Can you imagine if it was within the rules to bring bullhorns as legislators?
The three Democrats led the gun control protest a week ago from the House floor using a bullhorn, as peaceful demonstrators rallied in the gallery. Johnson may have avoided the expulsion as she did not use a megaphone to lead chants, whereas Jones and Pearson did.

How long did the bullhorn session last? No one was actually wearing bullhorns this time we’re they?

Some intersectional news.

Pissed off people out in the open. What happens when ten Kyle Rittenhouses show up?
