How many years of residency or training must a medical doctor go through in order to become a certified heart surgeon in Taiwan?
Can an Aussie or Kiwi with a basic bachelor of medicine from Oceania Universities become a certified heart surgeon in Taiwan?

After you get a doctor license, you need to get a certificate of specialized surgeon. You need four years of training for surgeon.

Then you need to take 2 years of training for heart surgeon to get a certificate of specialized heart surgeon.

Hi if an Aussie and/or Kiwi obtains a doctor’s license in their own country, can they still apply for the surgeon’s certificate in Taiwan?
if you already have a foreign doctor’s licence and it is accredited by taiwan, you can apply for the doctor’s licence exam without going to medical school in Taiwan.
After you get a doctor’s licence of Taiwan, if your foreign certificate of specialized surgeon is accredited by taiwan, you may skip the four year training for surgeon. You can apply for the exam for specialized surgeon without the training.
