At 886 Sports, our mission is to provide one of Taiwan’s premier English-language youth basketball development programs by combining high-level coaching with a positive, athlete-centered environment. We serve boys and girls from elementary through high school, helping them develop basketball skills, confidence, leadership, and a lifelong love of sport.

About the Role
As a Basketball Coach with 886 Sports, you’ll play an important role in shaping the experience of every athlete in our program. You’ll lead engaging practices, teach sound basketball fundamentals, and foster a culture of effort, accountability, and respect.
We’re looking for coaches who are eager to learn, collaborate with fellow coaches, and continually improve their own coaching craft.
What You’ll Do

Plan and deliver energetic, well-organized basketball practices.

Teach basketball fundamentals using age-appropriate progressions to one or more of the following age groups:

12U Boys & Girls (Grade 4-6)
-
15U Boys (Grade 7-9)
-
15U/18U Girls (Grade 7-12)
-
18U Boys (Grade 10-12)
-

Encourage effort, resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Build meaningful relationships with athletes while maintaining professional boundaries.

Help implement the 886 Sports coaching curriculum and player development philosophy.

Collaborate with fellow coaches to provide a consistent experience across all age groups.

Potentially assist with camps, leagues, tournaments, and special events throughout the year.
Who We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications

Fluent English communication skills.
-
Basketball playing and/or coaching experience.
-
Passion for teaching and working with children and teenagers.
-
Positive attitude, professionalism, and reliability.

Ability to communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches.

Availability to work weeknights and weekends.
-
Legal authorization to work in Taiwan without employer sponsorship.
Applicants must already possess one of the following:

Taiwan National ID

APRC (Alien Permanent Resident Certificate)

Marriage ARC / JFRV with open work rights

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation between NT$1,000-1,500 based on role.
