Is anybody using Zone Alarm Pro?
Do you think it’s worth the $40 or so?
I’ve been using an older free version 4.5.538.001
as I read that some people have problems with the newer versions.
Overall I’ve been pretty satisfied with it; easy to set up and use, good functionality.
Just wondering if the extra features are worth it.
I have been a fan of ZA for a number of years. I have used, and been happy with, the free version and have also purchased and used the Pro version.
I have found that the extra features of the Pro version are nice, but debateable as to whther they are actually worth the cost.
ZA is a good program and one you should be using, IMO.
$40 - USD’s? - is a bit steep. You should be able to find it much much cheaper. Probably around (USD) $19 - 29.00’s. And maybe even bundled with some other neat progs.
Is Pro worth the $'s? Yes it is.
But the free version is also very good.
ps. - I listen to a lot of internet radio - and I always have to shut down my ZA. If you have this prob, this will clear it up.
I use ZoneAlarm w/Antivirus, full version. Not worth the extra cashola. The free version is just fine.
The two excellent free SW firewalls, ZoneAlarm and Sygate Personal 5.5 are just fine, no need really up spend money for the upgrade IMO.
