The Blame Game: What caused the 2016 US election result?

It’s seems to me that the main takeaway from the voting figures is that turnout for Hillary among African-Americans, Hispanics and women was much lower than for Obama. By left-wing logic, this would mean that African-American voters are racist, Hispanic voters are xenophobic and women voters are misogynistic. Oops. Maybe Democrats and the left need to start reconsidering their premises…

So people who live online, bombarded by the media and currently in the University or just fresh out of Uni were supporting the candidate who was favored by the media?

That’s a shocker. Not.

Wow. According to Slate, if you’re a white woman who voted for Trump, you’re a misogynist and a racist. If there wasn’t enough attrition among female voters already, rhetoric like this should do the trick.

Doing the jobs the established media won’t do:

WikiLeaks, Judicial Watch and the Clinton Cash author.

“Establishment gonna fall down go boom.” - Dr Leavitt

During his campaign, Trump mentioned he was willing to offer a pardon to Assange & friends, long before Wikileaks had any major effect on the elections.

It would be absolutely glorious.

Given Assange’s huge contribution to Trump’s victory, it only seems right. On the other hand, he may be safer holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy. Almost as many people want him dead as they do Trump.

But if that happened, even more moderate liberals would riot on the streets braking stuff, claiming that Assange and Wikileaks are owned by Putin who also owns Trump who’s a supporter of fascism and capitalism (HOW CAN THEY EVEN HAPPEN AT THE SAME TIME???) etc etc…

There are allegations against him unrelated to WikiLeaks. A pardon for the WikiLeaks thing would be fine. But make it specific.

The rape charges seem pretty bogus, but cooling his heels in a Swedish prison would probably be a lot cozier than his current living arrangements.

Big data, hallelujiah
Golden metrics, golden polls
And voters in long lines
And big Trump signs
And they all say
“Never mind, you’re not listening anyway”

The Donald didn’t need celebrity endorsements. He was a celebrity in his own right.
Donald Trump had Scott Baio and a “Duck Dynasty” star. Hillary
Clinton had Jay-Z and Beyonce, Katy Perry and Bruce Springsteen, Clooney and Leo, Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer, among many, many other A-listers
who hosted glittering fundraisers, who raised hundreds of millions of dollars for her.

One takeaway: celebrity endorsements in presidential politics don’t matter anymore.

Another, more likely and long-term: They hurt.
The basket of Dunning-Krugers. They inadvertently looked like an ad campaign.

A mostly “liberal” panel discusses the autopsy results. Mr. Esquire looks extremely upset. Overall I think it’s an interesting debate.

This surely signifies something:

Fox on top, CNN a distant second, ABC and NBC don’t even crack the top eight. Oh, and look at the others.

At least CNN seems to have escaped the airport ghetto.

Ralph responds to the “award” a McGill professor recently gave Bernie in his name. He also talks about his new book, Animal Envy: A Fable.

I think the word “liberal” should be revisisted. Many countries and politicians who consider themselves liberals (the Democrats in the US and many parties in Eu, with Sweden being the worst one) are basically laying the foundations for a Marxist society, which is NOT liberal.

I see your point about the word liberal, and am assuming you refer to “classic liberal” as the true definition for liberal. However, liberal/progressive/communist/Marxist/SJW are all very similar today and are synonyms for the most part.
