Tonight at there will be a total eclipse of the moon at 18:37. The eclipse should last 90 minutes. The moon should be a vivid red or yellow at that time!

Missed most of it, but got a few shots at the end.

Shit. I totally forgot about this. :fume:

I went out at 6:40pm and also at 7:20pm. Here are some of the pictures I took. I’m not a good photographer.

Thanks for posting this, twocs.

Enjoyed the lunar eclipse with the family in Da’an Park last night, along with a lot of other people.

Glad we saw it. Fun.

“I heard it on the radio. It sounded like bacon frying.”

I was convinced it would be no use even trying to see it because of the cloudy, polluted skies we usually have in Taipei. Then I stepped out last night and happened to catch the tail end of it, up there in a clear, cloudless sky.

next one in 2011.

“and the moon turned to blood, and all round the spirits of the dead rose in anger and tore down the walls of the city. Our God prevailed over their gods”

I didn’t catch any of the partially-obscured phase, but I went out at 8:30 and the moon sure was huge and bright. My daughter pointed it out to me as we were riding our bike. It was impressive. Sorry I missed the action though.

Bollocks, Frost. They’re good shots – you got the red colour better than other ones I’ve seen.

It was sizzling.

Thank you Sandman.
