In lower class, I thought 777’s of Turkish was better, both had 3-3-3 seats vs. CI AB-350 , flew helsinki to IST to HKG, then HKG-TPE on CI

If the 777-300ER aircraft is left in its original seating configuration (that is, 3-3-3), economy in that aircraft is quite nice, I fully agree there.
What I was referring to however is the unfortunately much more common densified version of the 777, in which clever managers thought that installing a 3-4-3 arrangement would be a great idea.

Yes, some 777’s have 9 seats a row and some 10 in a row
(some newer Ab-350’s will have 10 per row too)

Cost saving, no more food! Bring a packed lunch! Advertise it as an environmentally friendly initative and then sell overpriced packed lunches at the gate!

I just booked with China Airlines to Bali in January. Dang the cheap price is good less than 12k return. Used my China Airlines co branded CTBC card so will get some miles from spend and miles from the travel. Not a lot of miles on the cheap ticket though. I have flown this trip its on an A330 and they have 2 seats next to windows. I book the aisle seats.

Yup I used that. By the way I tried to book Novatel hotel as they have a promotion… if using booking dot com I can get a room on 08 January when I try to use the China Airlines card booking at discount it says no rooms available on that day… what a scam

I guess with partner hotel they hotel have a small quota of discounted rooms. Wouldn’t call it a scam just yet. If u can never ever get a promotional room, then that’s a scam.
Yup maybe I got unlucky… not too much of an issue… I’m actually better off staying at a hotel in Toayuan… as my flight is 9am and there is construction near Novatel I have to depart before breakfast is available

Well I was just able to book a discounted room for when I return on 17th. My flight eta is 9pm so out of immigration before 10pm… also Novatel has free airport shuttle… also it’s right at the MRT stop walk out door 15m to MRT entrance elevator
So will have breakfast and then head back home on the 18th.

I did that only one before, staying at novotel and then catching the flight very early in the morning. It is a nice treat, breakfast not too bad either.
