But theyâre not now, so how is that relevant? Are you seriously suggesting they were angrier about someone in their 50s dating someone in their 40s, rather than the most likely cause of it just being good ole fashioned homophobia?
I know a couple with a 14 year age gap, yet theyâre freely walking around without fear of getting bludgeoned to death by an ageist mob.
A couple of thoughts spring to mind. What is âThe Westâ? Are there more crimes or are such crimes more easily labelled as the community becomes more defined? Are all crimes committed against that community automatically hate crimes? If crimes are committed within that community how are they recorded by the police? Does a queer stealing from a lesbian constitute a hate crime?
I means now days it is hate crime vs. many years ago it being a serial killer. Better or more detailed reporting nowdays. Not sure gay hate is higher or not, its partial it being not reported as such in the past.
Iâm absolutely not reading any of that. If you canât offer a synthesis of all that to back up your statement (There are more and more hate crimes committed against (?) that community) then so be it, just donât point me to a library and expect me to close the gap.
