Why is it bad if they are cheaper than US engineers? A huge part of that is due to currency manipulation. Also, Taiwan is not a third world country, there is a lot of competition for engineers. They would go to another company if the pay was not competitive in Taiwan and thatâs all that matters. They will be stuck here once we build an R&D ecosystem.
