American Burger Popup Store

Did anyone make it to this one day boondoggle?

I’d like to see some pics of the crowd.

Some of these knobs stood in line 11 hours to get 1 of 500 burgers. Geez! One per person.

No offense, but Taiwanese are bored as fuck. And they embrace it.

Also one shot looked like proper open kitchen but the other video showed a curtain.

In-N-out just shit or get off the pot already. Its not the first time they have done one of these.

Wtf are they worried about, just open a store. It will be full morning noon and night just like macdonalds is, Taiwanese cant get enough.

For Taiwanese its all about FOMO and instagram likes. You can open a restaurant with most mediocre food and it still have huge line on the first day. Just say the restaurant is a huge chain or whatever

Isn’t coming in then getting in and the back out again, like, totally on brand for them?

That would pull up the average quite a bit

I guess thats where their name comes from. They are pull out merchants.

I just looked into it. They do not have any stores outside of the US. They are not going to be opening a store in Taiwan nor anywhere else besides the states. Its all done to protect their IP.

As thats the case who the hell is going to these dumb ass pop ups? Why bother giving them the publicity ? And forcing people to wait in line for hours, a lot of which are walking away empty handed.

Strikes me as a very non customer friendly move.

There are no In-N-Out restaurants outside of the US. They refuse to allow their burgers to be frozen. Everything must be fresh, so they actually flew in 500 burgers for the promotion.

From where, how long did it take to get them here, and how fresh can they really be?

Did they ask them to add peanut butter or something crazy to the burgers?

How can such standard looking burgers be popular in Taiwan?

Oh yes that’s right. Beef doesn’t exist outside of the USA.

There’s only 2 options to make a hamburger. Either fly the beef burgers in fresh from the states or frozen. Thats it!

Micky D’s is like Palantir level.

I only do BK now. it’s homely in comparison.

They flew it in from the United States. There was an American representative who was interviewed and that’s what he said during the interview.

In-N-Out does not allow frozen. They flew it in from the US according to the interview with the U.S. representative. In-N-Out prides itself in standardization and quality control. They will never allow Taiwanese to fuck up their product by local sourcing shit beef and localizing burgers by putting peanut butter or matcha on the burgers on their products.

That’s how premium chilled (not frozen) steaks arrive in Taiwan too.

Peanut butter is actually a good complement to a beef burger with bacon imo :hamburger::bacon::peanuts::face_savoring_food:

Okay Elvis…

I always thought the peanut butter on burgers was an American thing.

I recommend it on the bison burger at Burger Yellow in Taipei also
