Not that I agree with him, I respect everyone’s freedom of speech, but there are few coverage on DPP’s mainstream media about this specific incident. I’m really interested to know what people think about his political statement.

You are wrong, if this man was Chinese, a mainland spouse or a local Taiwanese the DPP news reports would make a big fuzz about his comment, but because he’s a white man from US, they downplayed such an incident. It has nothing to do with CCP state media. Taiwan media should comment, society should not be double standard.

I think there are quite some videos on YouTube by random white guys from the US on which the Taiwan media hasn’t commented on.
Why should they comment on every YouTube video that mentions Taiwan just because it was uploaded by an American? 
Well Taiwanese media frequently comment on reports from Chinese state media regarding to political issues. In this previous case, even though Douyin is a social media platform from China, a video shared by a mainland Chinese spouse already sparked considerable controversy resulting to her deportation.
I’m actually surprised that this white guy didn’t draw attention from DPP media this time, since he’s making a political comment. Taiwan society is highly political.
However this fake news “Taiwan is not China” sticker was published by the media which originated by a Taiwanese person on X.

It’s widely reported by DPP media outlets including Liberty Times praising the girl until it was exposed to be fake.

It’s already proven to be fake by AI fact center. Taiwan news always report unverified sources sometimes quoting online articles or posts from social media claiming it to be fact. I’m not surprised because I always doubt what’s being reported on the media sometimes they are obviously exerted or dubious especially the media in Taiwan are affiliated to different political parties. Don’t you ever question what’s on the news?
Back to my point the white guy wasn’t widely reported not because it’s CPP affiliated, it’s because the pro-China comment was made by a white man or specifically an American which is Taiwan’s ally it’s considered an embarrassment and highly controversial for the DPP, they don’t want to stir up a US-Taiwan debate, if he’s Taiwanese or a Chinese citizen the outcome would be very different.

For example, I could easily fabricate a story about witnessing a heated argument on the Beijing subway where someone shouted, ‘Taiwan is not China.’ Without photos, witnesses, or any verification, such claims carry zero weight. True journalists rely on rigorous fact-checking and credibility, not unverified social media chatter.
