The main difference I noticed is it now has something like Apples 3D touch? When I leave my finger on longer it gives different options vs tapping or at least this function is way more extensive now.

Seems an update or something went through, no just double tapping the apps button does what it used to, instant app change, it was going to the app screen first then to the last app
Before Pie 9.0, there were 9 visible apps in the vertical carousel for switching. After Pie 9.0, only 3 visible apps in a horizontal carousel. Is a pain.

Yep…
Besides, it was much easier to access “split screen view” or “pop-up view” just by pulling top corner down.
Now, one have to go to the carousel first to select this option…
