Anxiety and Depression

A long shot, but have you ever tried sensory deprivation (aka float tank) therapy? There are one or two places in Taiwan. I personally have discovered fantastic results over the years.

God bless.

I’ve heard of journaling as a therapeutic exercise, but don’t see the point of writing only for myself and then not reading it. I’d rather take the time to meditate and shut off the internal monologue rather than copy it onto paper. Or get some exercise. Or ride the motorcycle. Myself.

Would agree with chamomile tea and THC/cannabis sativa. The latter provides a soothing, relaxing sleep. Like even if you drank alcohol before and then ate some good ol’ brownies, you’d wake up feeling like a new person, the world isn’t so bad after all, etc positive mindset.

But you gotta be careful with its dosage because it can also induce heavy perspiration, pinkish to greenish visions, and ‘munchies’.

I tried ‘triple dose’ brownies before; I felt like time suddenly became slower. But when I woke up the next day, there’s no hangover and I felt like there’s menthol underneath my skin. So cool.

Me. I take it as an exercise for (creative) writing, as an excuse to take my eyes away from digital screens before I sleep or before I shower in the morning (when I don’t type it on my laptop), and as a way to reflect on the things that happened in my life.

I just put my journals on places where I think people won’t touch them. Sometimes, I’d also write on my laptop.

My handwriting is awfully ugly, and I usually write in a mixture of Spanish-Italian-English-Japanese, so it would be hard for people to understand. I feel journaling helps a lot to let go of some thoughts and avoid rumination.

In small and moderate doses, I’ve found it very relaxing for sleep. But it’s not in a way that knocks me out. I don’t feel sleepy if I don’t want to be. Music is wonderful on it which I find therapeutic and soothing.

In higher doses for THC, I’ve found it therapeutic as it helps me self reflect and even face my fears. It can cause some anxiety at the moment but it’s like it brings all the things that I’ve held inside to be faced in a safe way.

It’s such a shame it’s criminalized in so many places. I’ve just been to Amsterdam and it’s one of the cleanest and safest cities I’ve been to with amazing infrastructure. I didn’t see homeless people or drug addicts roaming around and yet no one cares if you use cannabis there.

I get them from iHerb. It’s not an easy magnesium supplement to find in my experience.

There was a place in Taipei a long time ago

I should mention it’s against forum policy to talk about illegal things …

Weed is merely decriminalized and tolerated in Amsterdam, and I heard horror stories of people doing pot in legal countries, then fly to say china where they get drug tested and prosecuted.

The problem is here they still see weed as gateway drugs and so are treated harshly.

I think it’s only if we encourage them. I’m just sharing my experiences.

My only experience with weed scared the crap out of me. Never again.

When I worked at a drug rehab. Ask any drug addict what their first drug they abused is and almost all of them will tell you it’s alcohol.

Even Amsterdam is bothered by drunk tourist in the red light district and not pot heads.

I agree alcohol is terrible and if any drug should be illegal it’s alcohol.

Problem is that’s been tried and it didn’t work.

I say decriminalize all drugs and treat it as a medical problem, not a criminal one, but in Asia they firmly believe that society will collapse if they give even 0.0001 inch to drugs, so crazy shit like hanging someone for weed.

Taiwan has softened it’s stance over the decades but weed is still criminalized here, but using will only get you into court ordered rehab, not criminal charge.

LMFAO

Yeah, there’s a ‘terror/paranoia’ phase when you consume a lot. :joy:

I’ve seen today a pretty young lady with a thong like yours and at least as visible as yours.

I ordered magnesium on shopee actually. I am still waiting on my package but hopefully I will get it soon.

In America I knew a few people including myself who have had a weird experience with weed. I seriously think it effects some mentally ill people differently. I was hyper-focused on a personal situation each time I tried it. I stopped drinking alcohol as much after it made me hallucinate…lol?

I think maybe I will look into the chamber. I know yoga made me feel a bit better when I had time.

Btw sorry if I keep rambling and making 143289437 posts. As I finished basically all I need to do for the week and my siblings are asleep.

I tried magnesium supplements in the states when you can buy it from Walmart and don’t need to order it, it didn’t really do much and honestly if you just eat spinach at the lunchbox place, it’s full of magnesium.

For a lot of us this place is therapy, don’t worry about it

Or a deposition.

Another drug option is Valdoxan, which I’ve been on for over a year now with positive results. My doctor described it as effectively a melatonin and seratonin supplement, although the Wiki description is rather different. Either way, it’s been much more effective for me than Zoloft, and doesn’t seem to have any real side effects.

I also take an Estazolam (relatively gentle benzo with a long half-life) once a week or so, to keep my sleep schedule stable. But I’ve noticed that I also feel really calm and productive for a day or two afterwards, which helps me set up a good week. No side effects or addiction from those either, at least at my frequency.
