In today’s time, if u find someone who can tolerate u is a blessing. The younger generation is more screwed because they believe in the idea that relationships are all about 100% compatibility. Even one percent below is a total no
Yes, we speak mostly in Mandarin. It’s funny most of the time, like when I’ll be talking to the kids in English and she’ll interject an answer to a question in Mandarin that is not quite the question that was asked in English. My Mandarin is far, far from perfect so I get laughed at as well. It’s all good.
I’ve had this problem. Girlfriends complain that I must have been in a lot of relationships before and am jaded. Actually, no, I haven’t had more than a handful of women in my life. It’s just that I am not a very expressive, affectionate person, not even with my own family. People assume that someone who is a bit introverted and on the autistic spectrum is a cold fish because he’s not over the top with corny romantic gestures learned from Say Anything (which if you did in real life, would get you arrested for stalking). It doesn’t mean that the feelings are necessarily not there - with the quieter types, feelings are more like an iceberg. Whereas with the more outgoing types feelings are more like a pufferfish.
Anyway, only 3 months? That’s hardly enough time for a real adult relationship. Maybe if you were in junior high.
Women are clingy to men above their league and men are clingy to women above their league. Both try to keep each other with them with the fear they won’t have someone better
I married someone like this, I am in the process of getting a divorce now. Runaway, it isn’t worth it unless you’re the same type of disconnected emotionally unavailable person.
Edit: oops I accidentally restarted an old thread.
