Are mainland China girls better than Taiwan girls?

It sure seems like it. I’ve corresponded with women in mainland China and they seem a LOT more sincere, serious, straightforward and authentic, like girls were in the 1970’s. They have not been corrupted with narcissism like Taiwan and the US have.

I used this free dating site called DateinAsia. Any of you use it too? I’ve met a lot of high quality women from China through it. But the Taiwanese women rarely ever write me back, and if they do, they are only polite and write bland things. They never offer to meet me or show personal interest.

But the girls in China write me everyday and show high interest. The difference is astounding. I used to think girls were the same in China and Taiwan. But now I know they are clearly not. Can anyone explain why they are different?

Any of you who have been to China want to comment?

By, the way, I’m a Chinese American, which is considered a hot item in China, much more than it is in Taiwan. So maybe that’s a factor too.

Also, when I was in college, I noticed that students from mainland China seemed more relaxed and easygoing than the ones from Taiwan or Hong Kong.

However, the Chinese have a reputation for being repressed, cold and cliquish. So how do you explain that?

Any insights or experiences?

Mainland girls are probably more interested in marrying you.

Probably not soo easy convincing a TW girl to marry, right off the bat.

Ask Winston.

Don’t be so simple. If you find a girl that is good for you, from anywhere, then that is the better girl, from Taiwan, or China, or Mars, or across the street.

haha yeah my winston feelers are out too everytime some such thread by some unknown poster comes up

Next door is better. But the ones too close may know us too well, and at least the ones further away can be powered by illusion. haha (on both sides)

The difference is explained by the difference in the average GDP per capita. Lots of Chinese girls want out, and would be happy to marry someone from the States. The Taiwanese standard of living is good enough that mostly only girls who are actually interested in you as a person will act interested.

Aah, Winston Wu is back…

OK, if they are poor and they see you as a gateway to a rich future, well, then they will be all over you, you have to be totally dense to avoid making that connection.

So sure, Filiponas, Chinese, Vietnamese, and thai women would likely be happy to snag anyone which can take them somewhere better and with a financially secure lifestyle. If you were in that situation, you would do the same.

Don’t think it’s love though, love (apart from the love of your vallet) has nothing to do with it, and you are 80% sure to be dumped once they can get on without you, or a better prospect ventures into their crosshairs.

BEWARE !!! They poison you in your sleep!!!

You was dating in the 1970’s? Christ, how old are you? Are you Mr Wu’s long lost great uncle from San Jose?

It might have something to do with their lower education, lower income level, and lack of upward mobility
And probably just a little bit because they want to get the fuck out of Dodge.

Let me be controversial here and shout out “bullshit.” If anything, China is the place to be in the world right now for upward mobility. That’s why all the women are leaving the countryside to go into the cities for factory work. Or why western MBA grads are flocking to Shanghai and the supercities–they are loving the 8% growth—something Europe or North America sure ain’t offering!

Don’t listen to Western Marxists and their educational-service kindy teaching followers in Taiwan. If anything, it’s Westerners, in sectors such as educational services (the lower level jobs in the East for Westerners), coming to China and Taiwan because of a lack of upward mobility in their home countries. If $80,000/year jobs were a dime a dozen for “basket weaving” grads, they’d be a lot of kindy returnees

I think you have a “Gender Studies” graduate type of viewpoint of the Chinese women! That they are peasant-mien being saved by big bad paternalistic westerners with “yellow fever.” In many cases, it’s poor Westerners finding a sugar momma amongst the nouveux-riche!!

Well, but the young locally educated girl with some college and enough English to communicate with a horny old fat foreigner is not on a US$80,000 a year package, is she now? More like a RMB15,000 a year, if lucky. If in factory work, odds are that she does not speak English.

In other words, you are right, China’s growth is great, however the Western MBA grad and the girl wanting to be takes away from the grotty office where she brews tea and does bot burrito jobs are not on the same planet.

The young MBA with china experience is likely to return to Canookistand when it’s time to spawn.

A lot of females in china just want to get out. Far from the majority, but enough to fill a few dating web sites.

Girls from China on a dating site? Smart money says a high percentage of them are in or have dabbled in the world’s oldest profession. Not hating, just stating.

Taiwan girls (at least the ones from Taipei) are a little more refined, their game is a little tighter and they are relatively more worldly. There are a ton of great girls in this city who would be a score anywhere, it is a shame you gotta hate.

While China is the place to be for many, that is certainly not true for most Chinese women! Sugar mammas are few in the scheme of things. Women (and men) still make a pittance on average when they flock to the city from the countryside, and many are still looking for an out.

There are tens of thousands illegal Chinese prostitutes here in the UAE. That, to me, is an obvious sign of desperation.

One of my American friends here got divorced a couple of years ago after his Thai wife left him. He is 6’5", morbidly obese, chain smokes and is an alcoholic. As much as I love this guy, I have to say that he is one of the most unattractive men I have ever seen on top of being slovenly. When he divorced and started getting onto date sites here in the UAE, he was pursued incessantly by Chinese women (here and in China). The Chinese women he met here were practically proposing to him on the first date. Does that sound normal??? Nope.

Sounds like Winston is back. My advice, go to China and find out for yourself. If you are older you will probably have a better chance there, bring $$$. I must qualify this by saying there are lots of nice and genuine people in China too. People are people and I have observed many of the older couples are quite romantic, opposite of my prior expectations.
Chewy, you don’t have a clue about the pay in China for the average person or even college grads, plus they have the Hukou limitation. Yes it is booming but also low pay, expensive to live compared to before and difficult to get ahead without the right background. Going overseas is the only real chance of getting ahead for many.

And can you get over your MBA fixation and reflexive habit of changing the topic to suit yourself?

Hilarious. This claim is based on conversations started on internet dating website.

I personally enjoy Taiwanese girls a lot more. But I love Taiwan a lot more than China. Perhaps there is some influence there?

No I didn’t date in the 1970’s. It’s just common knowledge that women back then were more natural, sincere and wholesome.

I don’t know who Winston Wu is. What does that person have to do with my question?

It sounds like a lot of you are speaking from stereotypes here rather than actual experience. That’s very prejudiced of you.

Sorry to rock your boat, but some of these Chinese ladies I’ve talked to own their own import/export business. And others got an MBA degree in California, before returning to China. How do you explain that?

Furthermore, most of them said they prefer to live in China rather than the USA or Taiwan. How do you explain that?

It sounds like the data doesn’t fit into your stereotypes and prejudices. So what now? Will you guys employ cognitive dissonance? Or be more logical and objective about this?

Studies show that poor people are more caring and compassionate and nicer to others. Just because someone isn’t spoiled by narcissism and materialism doesn’t mean that they must have an ulterior motive. See this new study reported by Yahoo News about poor people having better values.

news.yahoo.com/poor-people-may-q … 06037.html

So what’s the conclusion now?

Girls are like shrimp… all good. If you think you have a bad one, just toss it over my way.
