Well, OysterOmelet managed to find three whole white guys who have done it. For the rest, you can try to look up the photos of defendants (when captured) or videos of the actual attacks and see for yourself. Just don’t expect the U.S. media to bother reporting actual statistics since that would “feed the racist agenda” of not blaming white Trump supporters for blacks’ attacks on Asians.
They caught the guy who was videoed robbing the Uber/Lyft driver:
Note in particular these lines from the article:
Detectives recommended that hate crime charges be leveled against Powell, but indicated that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office declined to file them.
Christine Ting, Liao’s daughter-in-law, told CNA in a text message last week that “He (Liao) does believe it’s related to hate crime to some extent because he said the man kept telling him to ‘go back to China.’”
This is typical, and is exactly why you don’t see “hate crimes” committed by blacks being reported damn near constantly. Even though they are the ones going around attacking others over the others’ races, prosecutors routinely refuse to charge them with the hate crime enhancement because “muh racial justice blah blah blah” hypocrisy.
Even the Christian/Newsom rape-murders were NOT charged as hate crimes, even though the black murderers kidnapped, raped, tortured, and murdered the white couple specifically because of their race.
Meanwhile, some white guy shoots up a bunch of prostitution massage parlors because of his religious guilt over his sexual urges, and prosecutors and the news media spend weeks trying to come up with some way of calling it a “racially motivated hate crime” even though it had nothing to do with that.
Former President Donald Trump is being sued by the Chinese American Civil Rights Coalition for defamation and infliction of emotional distress, according to a lawsuit seen by TMZ.
The civil rights group is arguing that Trump’s use of derogatory terms for the coronavirus has led to a rise in violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, TMZ reported.
The former president has famously used terms such as the “Chinese Virus,” “China Virus,” “Wuhan Flu,” and "Kung Flu," to describe COVID-19.
Experts told Insider that the disrespectful monikers for the coronavirus used by Trump perpetuate dangerous microaggressions against the AAPI communities, Insider’s Lauren Frias reported.
Trump’s first tweet about a “Chinese virus” resulted in a surge of anti-Asian hashtags on Twitter, Insider’s Bill Bostock wrote in March.
Shouldn’t the Chinese American Civil Rights Coalition be suing the Chinese Passport of Convenience Holders who flooded New York with the virus that came from their country of origin? Or, would that be suing the people at the desk next to them and make it awkward?
Your two sources are from India. India has asked that the term not be used, but at least for now the term has been widely used by the US and British media including:
The Washington Post, CNN, NPR, The Guardian, Reuters, BBC, CNBC, USNews, VOA news, and Marketwatch to name a few.
So you asserting it’s not a scientific or popular term is irrelevant to my initial claim that the media has been using that term, whether it’s proper or not.
Sure. But on the surface, one seems a lot more likely than the other - dude lives in a county with 2% asians but ends up killing people at 3 asian owned businesses with primarily asian employees (admittedly 2 at a county where the asian population is a whopping 7%)… it’s possible it might not be racially motivated, but I certainly wouldn’t believe that based on the word of a murderer that has something to gain by it not being categorized as racially motivated.
