I live in Taiwan. So I live in a penal colony? News to me. I don’t care who you hire. That’s up to you. The police don’t enforce immigration violations. If I lived in the USA and INS did not care I hired illegal immigrants for less than the minimum wage paid who no social security taxes and I saved on employing legal immigrants for more money then sure, sounds like a good deal.

You’re clueless dude, illegal immigrants do pay social security taxes.

No more foreigners commenting about our domestic politics.

Yet you can comment on other countries domestic politics? Got it!!!

My ancestors have lived in the Americas for Centuries–I can comment on any bloody domestic politics I want. US, Canada, Mexico or Chile. :cowboy_hat_face:

Ok but no more clueless statements about DACA or social security taxes.

I’m thinking of my next dive trip to Cancun. After that I will walk across the US border and get me a free bus ride from Texas to New York City where they have to put you up in a shelter.
I do some free tours around New York again before catching my flight home from JFK.

Gotta love the generosity of the USA.

Well SCOTUS just ruled on those racist admissions ruling they were illegal.

Also in Australia there is no such thing as in state or out of state. As a citizen we all pay the same education charge for tertiary education and those of limited means can get student living allowances.

What clueless statements about DACA. All I wrote was that Obama instituted DACA.
So that is a clueless statement? I’m wrong?

I’m sure the ā€œrednecksā€ love to hire illegals on their farms… I would!

What sort of stupid nonsense is this?

Thanks Obama

The same nonsense he spat out about asking how Australia allocates funding since we don’t have boxes such as colored, Hispanic, Latino, Asian , white etc…

He was shocked that other countries don’t list their residents and citizens by race.
Australia is a meritocracy, So shocking that one’s race should not determine how you get funding. Or maybe he is shocked that for post high school education all citizens pay the same tuition fee for their discipline they study and their is no race based admissions. The horror…

I never said that. I asked how Australia allocates funding without those checkboxes.

Australia’s hella racist against Asian people. My friend who was over there said a government employee he knew was complaining about Chinese people buying up too much property in Sydney.

No way–not recently. Before Europe and the Americas engaged with Asia in trade significantly, before it became popular to do so, the great Australian statesman, Sir Joh opened the Gold Coast to Asian investment!!! He was a pioneer on economic development with Asia.

God, I wish we had 20 Sir Johs today!

On racism against Asians in Australia: Labour in the early 20th Century started White Australia policies but they were dismantled by centre-right Liberal Coalition governments (starting with Menzies).

Like with the Irish in the US Civil War, White Australia was very much a left wing, labour, working class racial construct based on jealousy of economic competition against a certain group. In Civil War times it was Blacks vs Irish in places such as New York, in Australia, it was the working classes afraid of Asian immigration.

I was going to suggest a split.

If you ask me, it’s a bit hair-splitty to insist that they don’t do race in the census if they nonetheless publish census-based numbers for at least one racial category (aboriginal), as Australia does. :2cents:

Btw I think OO may have inadvertently (by the way he asked the ā€œfundingā€ question) given you the impression that the US economy works a bit differently from how it actually works, but I’ll defer to Americans to explain it.
