These make me feel sad

Wills and Insider found that 36 Goldilocks balls only appeared in four distinct situations:

  1. Special commemorative balls used on team anniversaries (6)
  2. All-Star week (3)
  3. Postseason (14)
  4. Yankees games (11)

It’s that final point that’s going to be the most contentious. Finding 11 baseballs is far from a smoking gun, but it is very curious that Goldilocks balls ramped up in use in Yankees home games as Aaron Judge was chasing Roger Maris’ AL home run record.

Say it ain’t so oh-woah-ooh-woah!!
This ball’s a homerun maker
Say it ain’t so oh-woah-ooh-woah!!
My God, is nothing sacred?!!

Sullied! The game has been sullied!

 Seems if they really wanted to help Judge, they would’ve used the juiced balls rather than the in between ones? Might be more meaningful to include the dead ball / juiced ball breakdown as well to actually draw a conclusion.

Regardless, f’in umps:

Let’s go Yankees!

Nestor back for more.

My kind of game:

Ugh, what a game for the Twins to remember for a while.

Nasty Nestor fell in both my fantasy drafts, I guess because he faded last season. I grabbed him in both.

Domingo looking good today. :+1:

Hopefully the pen doesn’t blow it (again).

You’d crash planes with that kind of support. Lol

I’m not superstitious. Except sports. So no jinx!

Jackie Robinson day.

Pitching match up looks good. Cole completes the game. Noice.

Otani time.

Yankees win in the 10th without a hit.

And Judge absolutely robs Otani of a homer. Again.

And Volpe’s bat starting to show some life the last week, along with drawing a lot of walks. Kid’s looking good.
