What are the benefitis of having a NWOHR TW passport besides entering TW without a visa (which many countries can do)?

I can confirm you can travel to Singapore on a NWOHR passport as long as you have a valid Taiwan entry permit. Went there last year without any issue. I’m wondering if any other NWOHR passport holders here have traveled to Japan. I’m planning a trip there and hoping they will also accept an entry permit.

If you ever find your way into full citizenship (getting yourself onto HHR), you don’t have to renounce your current citizenship since you skip the naturalization step.

Dun think there’s much else left really, unless you count not getting conscripted if staying in Taiwan on a TARC as one (for males).

With the NWOHR TW passport you cannot use to travel other countries. Neither enjoy the visa free access like a normal TW passport.

Until you obtain the TW citizenship, you will be granted a full benefit TW passport.

This is not correct.

The countries you can access visa free are not the same. All countries accept NWOHR for entry except Georgia and China
