Bondi Beach terrorist attack

The elimination of Jews is in their founding charter.

Let’s not forget that Israel funded the creation of Hamas.

Is this sort of like the USA supporting Bin Laden? Serve me while you’re useful and then we’ll turn you into the Evil enemy we need so badly later on.

Mossad’s literal tagline was “Through deception, we make war.”

It’s not easy to do, but Divestment (the BDS movement) is an effective long-term weapon (no blood). It won’t work as quickly as it did in South Africa, but it is the RIGHT call.

I’m confused , so was the slaughter of innocent people on the beach good or bad?

Apparently depends on who you ask in this thread. At the very least some don’t seem that fussed about it. Some think a 10 year old Jewish Australian girl had to die for Israel’s sins. Others think they’re crisis actors. Welcome to Forumosa in 2025, I guess.

The argument seems to be as follows:

Of course all terror killings are wrong. That goes without saying, so I’ll only say it once and very briefly in this case.

However, it’s understandable that young men (26 and 50) will become radicalized given Israel’s actions in Gaza. Therefore, Israel caused the terrorist attack. In which case, it could be argued that the Jews killed on the beach were killed by Jews.

The exact same position was put forward after October 7th. I doubt we’ll ever see any change.

The death of debate ends thusly.

My bar is pretty low when it comes to slaughtering innocent children because of their religion and ethnicity. If we’re not the ones supplying the weapons and ammunition the children are being murdered with and political cover for the murderers then I consider that a relief.

There were no such concept as Palestinian nationalism in 1948. It was essentially a land grab by the Arab invading armies, especially Jordan. It was the Battle of Karameh in 1968 that started Palestinian nationalism.

A man seen running toward one of the Bondi shooters in footage on social media has been identified by his lawyer as a Middle Eastern refugee and father of two.

Lawyer Alison Battisson told CNN that her client, who lacks permanent legal status in Australia, hid behind a tree with a detective and waited for the shooter to reload. After the attacker was struck by police fire, he ran towards the shooter and kicked away his gun.

She declined to give her client’s name but identified him as “AB”.

The only thing surprising about this is that something like it didn’t happen sooner, given the rhetoric that has become all to common from certain elements and gone largely unchecked. I’m not impressed by Albo and the labour party on for their unwillingness to address these issues nor the attempt to try turn the focus to gun control

Committing genocide against a people that millions around the world share commonality with does increase the risk of certain individuals becoming radicalized. These individuals go on to reciprocate the unjust, indiscriminate killing. This is a fact, not an opinion.

Hmm I wonder if the cycle could be broken if those who are actively trying to erase a whole group of people ceased that action? Second order thinking. What a concept it seems many here can’t grasp:

You had everything right there, sans the “nonsensical” “made-up” and “colonizers” part. DNA tests would back it up too, but we both know why those are highly controlled in the region.

Are you kidding me? THAT is the logic? Lol I sure hope you don’t teach any kids you might have this line of thinking.

“Hey kiddo, don’t forget to unjustly murder the kid you stole the seat from using the weapon I gave you. You know he would have done so already if his daddy got him one.”

Gee, I wonder why Palestinians aren’t happy with Israelis. Surely not because they just airdropped in - backed with foreign muscle - to an already established homeland like they owned the place. Surely that wouldn’t create any ill feelings?

You guys need to open a damn history book, it’s embarrassing.

this 100%. All for non-violent options, and it is very obvious that Netanyahu’s evil regime needs to be gone. It will really be good for the whole world for them to become defanged, honestly. If they keep antagonizing basically an entire religion, no good will continue to come from it – not an if but when.

But see that’s the rub. They get a comparative mosquito bite after committing violent acts at a scale orders of magnitude larger and, well bob’s your uncle they use the tragedy as justification for more ridiculously disproportionate atrocities.

Never have I encountered bullies with such levels of fragility and manipulation.
