Needed a choice for something shorter…about 3-4 hours, but that’s his announcement.
Boris Johnson will announce his resignation this morning after concluding that his position is untenable.
The prime minister has told allies that he wants to stay on until the Conservative Party conference in the Autumn with a new leader taking over at that point.
Johnson spoke to Sir Graham Brady, head of the 1922 Committee, at 8.30 this morning to tell him that he was quitting.
About six more hours.

As the first POC as ruler of a western country and only the country’s third female prime minister, I expect the left will fully support her.
