Can someone explain this accident to me?

Actually a lot of people jumped in to help. That is very heart-warming.

Difficult to know for sure , but I would maybe suppose that this vehicle may have an electronic handbrake . If you have not applied it via the switch , it is supposed to self-apply . Most of the time it does not …depending on ignition being on , I suspect that ignition was left on whilst unloading … no handbrake … and vehicle just rolled down the incline

Whatever happened, the driver doesn’t come out of it looking good.

Story of my career :howyoudoin: In fairness to the driver , it only takes a moment for things to go wrong . Rule 1 , always leave the vehicle in gear or Park before getting out

Abandoning the vehicle with relatives still inside. I suppose we don’t know how we would react until a situation like this arises.

not everyone has nice relatives like yourself :howyoudoin: :notworthy:

Not sure if he had any choice, it looks to me like he got thrown out when the his foot and front wheel hits the log. The way the van then picks up speed looks like it’s in drive and he had his other foot on the anchor.
