Carnegie's - the "chat" thread... (Part 2)

Alien. Chodofu, Bear64’s good lady who lives round the corner et al:

The wireless internet is set up now.

Just thought that you might want to know as you asked for it.

Cheers

Bob

Top marks to Bob without whose unstinting generosity and attention to detail I might have seen the light of day on Monday.

F**k…it’s Tuesday?

Bob

Tee hee. Gawd what a lump of suffering Irishman I crept past as I headed to the airport on Monday.

Bob. great brunch, though clearly not as wet or as long as Hex’, many thanks. I’ll work on my stamina for the next trip.

HG

Cool, wireless at Carnegies. I’m there now engaging in the ultimate redundancy, watching the beatuy’s walk by and surfing the porn channels. Oh, my boss thinks I’m working, ha, ha, haa…

Chou

F**k…it’s Tuesday?

Bob
And not a drop has passed my lips since. That hasn’t happened since about 1987.

I regaled the wife with what we ate last Sunday. I may have overdone it, however, as she now wants to come with me the next time (!) (<Groan!> “next time” AAAAAAAArgh!)

my last drunken post …goes to hexuan and his groan. :rainbow:

Oh Bob?

I see that you are your usual self in today’s China Post Prime Time page 2. Looks like that Scottish temper is giving you some trouble again?

fred

Any chance of some details for those mercifully out of the China Post’s distribution range?

HG

Oh God…that picture…  I know someone who is going to get a phone call!

Fred - Bobs away at the moment so I will reply for him. He is not Scottish he is from Carlisle. This is a city that borders England and Scotland.

The only good thing in Carlilse is the road out to Newcastle

There weren’t any Scotsmen until a Geordie F*cked a pig

Er…haven’t gone anywhere just yet. Is the road out to Newcastle ‘good’ in your eyes because Brunton Park (stadium of persistent mediocrity) is located there?

Bob (who once took the A69 out and just kept going…)

Bob:

As a Republican and Bush supporter, I am clearly… ready… OUTRAGED that you would resort to violence with such an obviously civilized patron. Really, I am SHOCKED and DEPLORE your propensity to violence though I will not suggest that it in any way stems from your genetic (Scottish) make up.

As far as I can tell Bob doesn’t wear make-up!
Any chance of some details for those mercifully out of the China Post’s distribution range?

There was an article about being a bouncer at Carnegies with a picture of a republican being strangled. It was very amusing.

Thanks Richardm. I’m guessing the republican and was none other than the arch villain of the subterranean world, Herr Friedrice Schmidt.

HG

The photo is kind of grainy, it’s hard to say. I should have said, a publican strangling a patron. Maybe a freudian slip.

Bob, what a monumental Sunday!!!
Appreciated the hospital(ity).
Don’t think I will mix Hoegaarden, 1960 Cognac, Wolf Blass ever again.

Maybe it should be “Publican Cans Republican” …

AND HGC:

What is this archvillain of the subterranean world? Just because you are in Hong Kong now does not mean that you are beyond the reach of the evil Fred Smithanchu and his evil henchmen. Hmmm come to think of it, I could sic Alien on you…

Luv Freddy

SHARDS OF GLASS IN YOUR GINGER ALE!
Bit cheeky of them to charge you for a soda after gulping down SHARDS OF GLASS!

The food isn’t bad, and that MASSIVE tiramisu sitting over on hexuan’s table sure looked yummy.

But watch out for the SHARDS OF GLASS in your drinks.

(Could come from some wankers on Saturday night kicking over glasses while dancing on the bar)

I would recommend more fruit on the brunch menu. Would be nice if some fruit bits came on the continental platter, or on the waffles. I was looking for fruit yesterday, but saw none on the menu. In fact, I saw no fruit until I looked over at hexuan’s friend’s tiramisu which oddly enough had strawberries on it.

Shards of glass? :unamused:
