When that simplification gets you 明了, 一目了然 and 了如指掌 then it’s pretty silly.

I stumbled upon a thread that says Guangzhou province uses traditional chinese. (But then another user says they use simplified. ) does anyone know more details? I’m curious to what writing system the people in Guangzhou learn at school, asked what they use in daily life… and why.
