Charlie Kirk shot and killed at Utah event, suspect caught

Yeah, hard to say that the first two or the second two are mutually exclusive, while the first and the third are kinda at odds…

Your effort to make light of the CCP by conflating it with unrelated topics is concerning. The CCP has nothing to do with Kimmel not being funny.

I disagree. One is a privilege, one is a right, and these differences in status are opposite to their necessity in everyday life in the US (although I wish cars weren’t as necessary as they are).

It’s ridiculous to assert that guns are really necessary to life in any way remotely similar to cars, and therefore that the cost we pay for them is worth it. Cars are absolutely necessary, and thus the deaths – while unfortunate – are mostly both unintentional and only some what preventable; without cars, our society would grind to a halt.

Can the same be said about guns?

There’s also comparatively objective ways to increase the quality of drivers education in the us; mental health checks and background checks for guns help, somewhat, but do you really believe they’re as effective as a drivers license course in terms of efficacy?

If not, once again, compare the stats in the US to elsewhere (within the developed world, as we theoretically are a developed country.)

Cars are not designed to kill things, guns are.

well that’s one minor difference. Although the cyber truck with it’s “all metal but falls apart like it’s made of cheap plastic” design seems to be trying to change that

More than a century and a half ago, this country ignored the explicit words of men who sought to raise an empire of slavery. It subsequently transformed those men into gallant knights who sought only to preserve their beloved Camelot. There was a fatigue, in certain quarters, with Reconstruction—which is to say, multiracial democracy—and a desire for reunion, to make America great again. Thus, in the late 19th century and much of the 20th, this country’s most storied intellectuals transfigured hate-mongers into heroes and ignored their words—just as, right now, some are ignoring Kirk’s.

How is that possibly a minor difference?

Sarcastically?

Yet the FBI claims that he’s “uncooperative”. :face_with_monocle: Perhaps an agency less politically compromised might be better suited to handle this case.

There is a difference between peacefully surrendering, and helping the prosecution build a case against you and possibly others.

Would you care to suggest one?

Given the paper and electronic trail, the finger prints and the several confessions, I think the FBI could get a conviction with their D Squad.

What kind of a world is it when you can’t even mock someone who was assassinated in front of people mourning his passing? :runaway:

I wonder what would happen to those “God Hates Fags” guys in this political climate? Are they even still
Around?

It is a matter of debate, for sure

We all know what he is talking about. There is nothing cherry picked. He using DEI as the justification for his own discrimination. His words couldn’t be more clear.
