Yeah I’d be worried seeing a black pilot. Worried that they were hired to fill a diversity quota, rather than being employed based on merit.
It was definitely an attack on DEI hiring practices. Saying otherwise is being disingenuous.

My favorite “part” was when Robinson felt compelled to tell his (supposedly Trans) partner that his dad has been really MAGA ever since Trump got elected.
If anyone pauses and contemplates this for just a few seconds, they will realize how absurd it sounds. No shit the dad is MAGA, that would have been a core stressor in their relationship since the beginning. Bullshit detector going off the charts with this - it is not a question about if there is any bs in this narrative, but rather how much bs is in it.

Exactly, and especially with what happened with some air traffic control roles being DEI hires.
On another note… I see a lot of DEI hires in Taiwan lol. Particularly foreign professors who come to Taiwan. They come because they can’t get a job in their home country.

The thought would never have crossed my mind because to be a pilot you needs hours upon hours of training. That’s what separates you from me.
If you want to criticize DEI, then do that. But using that as a justification to make judgements about people, whom the only you know about is their physical appearance, is still racism.

He (Charlie Kirk) mentioned it as an example. You don’t see many black pilots at all. (Not because they’re not capable) but they simply are not common… and therefore with the DEI push it is now likely they were hired to fill a quota.
With all the DEI push etc… I would also seriously reconsider boarding the flight if my pilot was a black woman because I would start thinking that maybe my life is now in the hands of some diversity push. (This is where things are going now.)
In normal circumstances I wouldn’t give a shit who the pilot is. But right now in this world I am starting to question if many people are hired for their skill or the color of their skin or their gender. (A black female pilot would make that more likely than being hired on merit.)
I’m open. what’s the current conspiracy narrative? Protecting the boyfriend? that would mean it’s still written by them.

DEI is literally advancing people because of their physical appearance, so it’s relevant. Pointing that out is absolutely nothing to do with racism.
