It is racist to watch the 100 meter final, and think the white guy couldnât have gotten there on his own merit when the only thing you know about him is his skin color. But again that is something that would never have crossed my mind.
Are you saying white people have better eyes than black people which explains why there are so few black pilots? Or perhaps you think white people are more intelligent?

You donât know why a person was hired. You only know their skin color. Using skin color to judge someone is most definitely racist.

I think being a good pilot has more to do with mechanical aptitude. If there was an olympics for machine operators I think weâd hold our own, unlike in olympic sprint events.
I suspect it has more to do with the cost of training.

I donât think he should have been fired for what he said. But I canât imagine keeping someone thatâs bleeding viewers.
The problem is using that as an excuse to make judgements about people you donât know anything about purely on skin color.

Itâs not judging people to be critical of whether or not they were hired because of DEI policies. Especially when DEI has become so prevalent.
Whenever I engage with a professional, especially when safety depends on it, I want to know that person has the correct qualifications and they were hired purely on merit, not the color of their skin.
I havenât gone down the path of it being a conspiracy but that text exchange made me feel like something is not right with the âofficialâ narrative.
