The US and Europe need to tool up their conventional armed forces, just in time wake up call.
We need enormous investments in STEM. It is not a rocket science. Top talent in West goes to finance, software, law, public administration instead to STEM. Put sanctions on China, this will drive price up of products until people start produce more in the West. In the end is all about experience. Make manufacturing important again and give initiative to people to do manufacturing.

The west has crossed several lines with seizing Russian nationals assets. Even Switzerland didn’t stay neutral.
I wonder if such sanctions would be far more effective towards China. Can you imagine if the west seized CCP members assets abroad and freezes their ability to touch and move money abroad.
And then hit them with canceling student visas to the west.

I think he’s going to have a tough time. Most Chinese, who aren’t little indoctrinated shits or online wolf-warriors, just want to live their lives. They may not like Taiwan or the west, but they certainly don’t want to sacrifice their “little emperors” to defeat them.

If they’re not willing to conscript the better educated and trained upper middle class kids in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, then they’re not going to win. At best, it’ll be a stalemate that drags on for years. Russia is kinda proving that these sort of half-measures don’t work with its embarrassing debacle in Ukraine.
