Obviously politically motivated increase on the sentence , but I can’t stand meth dealers , smugglers etc. Nasty drug, if it was weed or something I’d be way more sympathetic.

I think people should just be responsible for their own decisions. He decided to go to China and deal, he has to accept the penalty. He must be an idiot because he could have easily done it by proxy. But ideally there should be no restrictions on what people do with their own bodies. Sure, there should be laws preventing people from selling drugs to minors, but if one adult wants to sell 50kg of meth to another, it should be an inalienable right. The drug war is a massive failure and an unjust encroachment upon freedom.
