Classifying hook turn rules

I used to regularly ride a large road with three lanes in each direction that had a set of lights where every light turned red just when you got to it if you did the speed limit for like four lights in a row and I knew that, but I couldn’t speed because there was a cop at the first light on the scooter. When the third light turned red, he just turned on his lights and went through it. Even the police run red lights.

But I’ve also seen police sitting at a T intersection, having to turn one way or the other with no indicator, and I’ve seen police use the indicator when the road has a curve, even though they’re not actually turning they’re just following the road.

The cops ignore 2 adults + 3 kids with or without helmets on scooters…

And they ignore illegal parking and they ignore red light running, and and and and

I already explained why. You need to consider other people’s bad driving to a degree if you want to be safe on the roads in Taiwan.

It would be nice if u could just slow right down every time you see a yellow light but that will probably get you rear ended.

And yes you are turning to get to the hook turn box. Its a mini turn but still, worth putting your lights on in my book.

Saw two police scooters turn on their sirens and go left on an intersection that requires a hook turn.

The most hilarious thing was that they didn’t even save time. After my hook turn, I was behind them at the next traffic light.

The sarcasm is the suggestion that anyone might be paying attention anyway, right?

not that you can work out which is the turn signal with all the other flashing lights
