The first time I went for a prostate check, this drop-dead gorgeous nurse told me what to do, and said “wait”. I was like “Wow! This won’t be as bad as expected!”
Then this midget, bearded, old man rocked up and put his hand up my ass.
Damn, was I disappointed!
Once I woke up in the middle with the anesthesia. I had the sensation of someone poking around my anus, but I was entirely untroubled by it that state, at least. I went back to sleep
In some companies people at certain job level get 15-20K budget per year for the yearly health check-up. Many of these people have these checks every year or every two years, just because they can. Of course they ask for anesthesia.
If you are buying it as an add-on to regular health-check I guess it makes sense since you are already going there anyway.
endo and colon is free in Taiwan with NHI. add ons like pills anaesthesia etc are what cost money.
Mine cost 450nt total (not counting pills) for 3 visits and endo / colon. First visit to tell him I needed it, second to do it, third to see results. All within 2 weeks.
It always bothers me that if you know you need or want something you first need to pay a doctor to have a diagnosis that you already knew you needed. Then you usually have to come back another day to have it done.
