Coronavirus--Taiwan developments

If anyone on this board knows the rules the best, it’s Icon the policewoman.

Thanks for your clarification. The news report was unclear on that matter. Glad to know protocol is being followed. Just not sure about now effectively home quarantine is being enforced. A quarantined person could interact with family and friends and who would know?

Fan of handsome police officers you mean.

was under a time constraint to find a hairy-chested, mask-wearing cop

If they do not live them/do not care, sure.

Remember the guy in Kaohsiung who organized a little party? Oh they know.

Personally I think the opposite.

I get bored I drink! supply them with booze and lock the door.

With the smiley emojis it looks like the floor is really into all the facesitting it’s about to be subject to.

Unexpectedly I am returning next month from Europe back to Taiwan.
German citizen, APRC holder, flying from Amsterdam via Doha and Hongkong.

Well, what do I have to prepare for entry into Taiwan ?
And how do I get from TaoYuan to Taichung downtown ?
Will I be able to take the usual long distance bus ?

ARC/APRC holders get in, no Covid-19 test (after that previous snafu).
When you arrive, you can either take a quarantine taxi directly to your residence, or a quarantine bus that has 1 stop in Taichung (from there, either someone picks you up, or…). So, no, cannot take the “usual long distance bus”.

Go to Taoyuan airport website with smartphone and fill in details of your Taiwan residence, how you plan to quarantine, passport #, APRC #, etc., and keep screenshot of it for check-in wherever you board plane to go to Taiwan.

Do you have access to a Taiwan cell # that you can use (your own, or your friend’s/wife’s, etc.) upon landing? Because that website asks for a cell #, and everything after that can go quickly if you have access to that # after plane lands.

She was working since January in Filipinas. The company arranged medical test on June 30. She has antibodies. Currently in hospital.

30 year old woman. And for the life of me I can’t spell Philippines right.

Please remember quarantine is strict, not optional.
