Maybe we are capable of addressing more than one issue at a time?
For the transport issue, you’d be hard pressed to find someone more opposed to scooter culture than me. Yet I can also see the ways the state has been trying to provide alternatives—whether this means building MRT systems, or setting up youbike systems. Yes, there is still huge room for improvement, but at least there are some attempts to shift away from Taiwan’s awful petro scooter culture.
