What difference does it make if they’re in a bus or in the day room? At least in a bus you can open the windows and get a breeze.
Ah you got ghostbustered too? About a week ago I was going down the escalator into Taipei City Hall, and THERE THEY WERE, going up the escalator in their doomsday gear (why wear this if what they are spraying is safe for people, is it an accumulated exposure concern?) as they sprayed down me and the poor girl behind me. I mean there was no escape - we were both held captive by the escalator. Both of us had no eyewear damnit. Absolutely ridiculous
From personal experience, I know that the food business is always a bit (hahaha) hand-to-mouth. If you get a drop-off in customers for more than a few months, you’re finished. But yeah, it’s possible they own the building. We have a local close-down in that situation. They’re going to just retire and do nothing, and rent the shopfront to someone else … if anyone’s mad enough to try it.
Because it’s probably hellishly toxic and you don’t want to be exposed to it.
I’d be really curious to know what it is. In Elbonia they went through a phase of spraying people with bleach at shop entrances.
I’m not sure if they did. If they did, then I am wrong.
Isn’t it weird to say 64 percent more transmissible in households though?
Why not just 64percent more transmissible?
75 new cases and 20 more deaths.
Yeah, why do THEY get all the protection, if it’s so harmless.

Good point, something worth looking into . But that alone is going to spread it a lot more isn’t it .
I like 75.
[That’s also where I am going to sell some AMC tonight, oops, wrong thread]
I see those guys in the white suits and start running. The only problem is they have been in our lobby and elevators, and outside pavement everyday for the last week . Its like I’m living on a movie set.
Anybody know what the hell is in the chemical mix ? I smell bleach but other stuff too
Nowhere to run to !
I walked into a cloud walking down the street. Hasn’t affected me too much. You don’t want to make me angry, though. You wouldn’t like me if I were angry.
Nice numbers, pity the origin is unknown for most still.
That’s great. In the past 7 days we’ve more than halved the number of cases. The restrictions in place are clearly working. (And just two weeks ago we were >200 cases/day.)
As always there is still a waiting game since the holiday weekend, but as the cases get lower it gets easier and easier to trace and control. Here’s hoping we continue on the downward trend
If this happens, you may need to update your forumosa ID to BigGreenDave.

Just don’t change it to AngryBigGreenDave and expect to be invited to a Forumosa get together.
~13000 tests only yesterday. TPR around 0.6%.
More worried about people celebrating reaching sub-100 and relaxing too much. Most folks I know don’t even care or know about TPR. The numbers a few days ago were actually much better than today in terms of TPR.
Hope these L3 restrictions are in place for a while and that people follow them. It is clearly working and we just need to be patient for a few weeks…
there were only 13k tests done, the lowest in weeks so TRP is still 0.5. Thats an issue. People will see that cases are going down and less and less will come out to get tested.
Could it be because the testing has been more targeted? If that’s the case, it’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Is that true? I can only see
其中雙北地區以外縣市15例中,15例為已知感染源;相關疫情調查持續進行中。
“Of the 15 cases outside of Taipei+New Taipei, we know the origin of 15, the investigation is ongoing.”
i.e. they know the origins of all cases outside of Taipei area, and don’t say anything about how many of the 60 in the Taipei area are traced/untraced. (I suspect this is because they are treating it as one big “Northern Cluster” and haven’t been able to trace many of the cases from the start with Wanhua.)
It’s possible. There has been an uptick in TPR over the last couple of weekends, and then TPR has fallen down considerably after that. So we should have a good idea tomorrow and day after.
