Your ID card is a little different though ![]()
Hee hee…you’re right! ![]()
An Executive member got their Fubon Costco card, but the credit limit was only 5,000 NT/month…
I am having a few issues with the application. First form I sent with all the docs i forgot to put my Costco membership number (I read wrong on the form that only people with foreign memberships had to put it). I found this out after many attempts to call their service centre, they call me back only after I made a formal complaint on the website.
Sent again the form, with only basic infos and my costco membership since I already have a fubon card and submitted all docs previously (the customer seervice agent told me to do so). It still says to contact their customer service, will follow up on Thursday if nothing changes. Going to branch would be useless, I feel it.
Going to the branches is unnecessary for credit cards. They usually do everything via phone, mail and email.
I’ve sent the forms on Feb 4th and the website also still says to contact their customer service, but they told me that my docs are complete and what the website meant was to call them if I have any questions. They really are taking their time though.
ok, interesting. Last time with the tw mobile card it showed me though it was under review, and then the approval once approved.
yes, but if you can’t reach the customer support centre, might be only wait… they might be overwhelmed with applications tbh
Yeah the email says
感謝您申辦台北富邦銀行信用卡,本行已收到您的申請文件(案件編號0000000000),將儘速為您審核,

So “go look at the website if you are curious” as in no action is needed from you.
As for why the website always just serves you with the customer service number, only Mazu knows.
Well, bank branches do not process anything with the credit cards. All they do is also call the credit card office.
Just received my Titanium card in the mail with a 120k limit
. It says in the brochure that Costco will start accepting this card from August 8th onwards (Taiwan Father’s Day) …Good timing Fubon!! ![]()
I was told I couldn’t get a card at all at one of the in-store kiosks. Just submit paper application via mail, I don’t see any such restriction in the form at this time (版本:1110174-121231).
If they give you trouble complain to them, then to costco here, then to costco USA. You will get your card eventually.
I got the fubon card with photo and membership info. As always, never trust the agents there. Just mail in the application form with all the suppprting docs and a pic same size as passport basically, and mind to select the appropriate photo card option on the application
After handing my documents, the Fubon representative told me that there is a backlog of applications and to expect a response in like two months, two months and a half.
Sigh
Meanwhile, I discovered that Cathay had sent my Cube card a couple of months ago, without fuss. Double sigh.
Yeah, fubon quite overwhelmed with applications. Took more than 3 weeks for a very straight up application for the J card for me, whom I already hold 2 cards and an account with them.
Transition period going always to be a bit messy
As a data point, (as a citizen) I applied online, was approved in 2 days and the card arrived in 5. The documents I provided were a bank statement (regular monthly PDF email), and a list of income items from last year’s tax return online filing.
I’m a naturalised Citizen…and I concur with what @Mataiou said! never trust what the agents say, the less they deal with foreigners, the better they feel cos you know—> 很麻煩!!Just mail in the application with all supporting docs and you will get the Photo Co-branded card.
Same for me…Applied online, got mine within a week. Didn’t provide any financial documents as I already have a Momo card with them (back when I applied for the Momo card, I didn’t provide any docs either. I think they take it on their own to do a credit check). Applied for a family card too for my wife and she got hers in a week.
besides that, they just don’t care and actually know the regulations, it’s astonishing the level of gross incompetence in the service industry. Even at government level, many, many have no clue about many pieces of regulation. It’s frustrating dealing with them and actually teach the government THEIR OWN LAWS!
Lesson to everyone: don’t trust anyone, read the rules yourself and take a decision based only on written, clear, specific and explicit rules. Anything else is just BS and has no standing
