The point no 4 there says login into the system 48 hours before flying in. I can see only 1 link there which is for the quarantine hotels. Does anyone know what system they’re talking about?

There is a form to fill out with details of your flight number, etc. Do it 48 hours before for accuracy. It will save you time, as they will send you a link and put you ahead of the line. Faster, simpler.

Yes, but in my experience this is ahem optimistic.
Better to say “And wait to have a quarantine-taxi stand guy spritz you from the neck down, including your shoe soles, with an alcohol solution.”
If that’s actually “proper” disinfection, then I stand corrected. And maybe things have changed since April 29.

At the airport now. It still amazes me people don’t know how to wear a mask at this point with their noses out.
Just watched a lady rub her eyes for a good 30 seconds. And then picked her nose in front of me. Idk what’s wrong with people.

Oh, interesting! I guess Japan is loosening up flight restrictions? I actually had a flight from TPE to SFO booked for September, with a 4-hour layover at NRT. However, based on what I read online (link below), Japan is currently not allowing foreigners to even transit through Japan (at least through August 31, may be extended). So I canceled that flight to be safe and booked a direct with China Airlines.
A friend of a friend was trying to get back to Russia but it would have taken him 1 month to get home. Two stopovers with 14 days quarantine he was told.

My classmate took like 3 days to get to the old country, 3 stopovers. Long stopovers. There is only one flight in and it leaves from the US, but not from LAX or any other place you can get a direct connection from Taiwan. Friggin nightmare if you ask me.
She said lots of people traveling. Full airports. Mask wearing still spotty.
Now I got a pal in a more serious pickle. Her passport expires end of year, there is no office that can deal with it here. Going to HK or other nearby place is a logistical nightmare. Don’t know what to do.
