Maybe because they think they will look like this? All four are mixed race.
only the boy looks mixed in my view
Good thing it’s only your view. LOL I know them all. When I say mixed does not mean all had a white parent. A bit more than a boy though, a young man doing his post grad degree. 25 at the time.
Yea I’ve had this convo with my gf.
She said mixed white/asian ‘混血兒’ are all good looking.
I brought up the point that surely your parents, your individual genes should matter more than the race. I don’t think being mixed is going to help if both your parents are dog ugly. etc. Or one of them is ginger etc.
She didn’t buy the logic. I’d be surprised if the majority of Taiwanese didn’t think along the same lines.
There are lots of mixed kids where I teach, and they’re all good-looking except for one, and that’s only because he has Down Syndrome.
You said you are mixed race yourself. So also a handsome model type no doubt.
This guy comes to mind for me, I think he is half English. I wouldn’t say he looks bad or anything but its enough to prove the theory wrong…( he just looks normal)
some white/asian boys/girls look more white some more asian. i for example look more asian.
and strangely enough if i could choose i would prefer a lady who was white/asian who looked more asian as well. birds of a feather thing.
but looks def are not everything, personality really matters. especially if you can get along with them or not. that is the key whatever the heck they are.
p.s. white/asian kids are far more common now in the US and TAiwan i understand. I got to be “more special” when i was growing up because “we” were not as common.
Look up an image of him back when he was young. He was pretty good-looking.
well this thread is dealing with white/asian so korean/taiwanese or japanese/taiwanese is not the same as white/asian.
my first gf in taiwan was japanese/taiwanese and i couldnt tell her from the next tw girl.
p.s. cute girls the 1st from the left looks like she could be a sister to the 3rd from left?
Well…
Edit: emphasis added
But the question being asked was……
Edit: I see @tommy525 already pointed this out.
You’re not thinking like a matriarch.
“Husband? Meh, that’s a trophy at best. My kids are my legacy!”
Yep. I look more white. Strangely, it’s changed - early teens, I looked more Asian. Sometimes I get mistaken for Hispanic - in SoCal!
That said, mixed race devils like us are definitely the best looking. ![]()
I’m half Korean and half white (Irish grandparents on my dad’s side). I look more Asian but I used to look more white in my younger years.
To the OP, yes, I do think most Taiwanese feel all mixed race (Eurasian or Amerasian) people are attractive. I would say that I’m considered average in the US but I got quite a bit of attention when I went to Korea and then Taiwan in my twenties. Now I’m an older dude and don’t get called handsome all that much anymore.
As for my kids (75% Asian, of course), they have lighter hair than me but their faces look more Asian than mine. My son is quite popular in school and I’m happy about that. Very little to no racism for him also makes me glad. They are considered 混血兒 by most people. That probably has a lot to do with their light hair (kind of a medium dark brown with some highlights for my daughter- mine is very dark brown now).
So to the OP, enjoy all the compliments but don’t let it get to your head!
Having children with someone looking more different usually results in greater gene diversity down the line, but the closer someone looks might suggest closer cultural ties and values.
Some mixed children look like they can offer both benefits. So subconsciously that might be what’s going on.
I mean if you are half Chinese and you look like this…
Why the hack not.

Not who’s fault? I hire illegal immigrants. Everyone does, except rednecks. The INS doesn’t care, the police don’t care.
You though, you stay in your penal colony.
That’s a dude?
