Do Taiwanese just think all mixed race (Eurasian) people are attractive?

Often I get people complimenting me and saying “喔、你好漂亮!” and I of course feel super flattered but I also sometimes think they only think I’m pretty because I’m mixed race. But then again, even people in America have told me I’m pretty.
I have pale skin and brown hair and I’m pretty white passing but I’m also tall, mildly overweight and I dress very plain and I never wear makeup. (I cannot show pictures)

Sometimes I wonder if they could see the most unattractive person that happens to be mixed race and automatically think they’re pretty simply for having light skin

No. I wouldn’t think all.

Mixed race people are considered the most attractive in the US as well.

White-Asian women and White-Hispanic men are the most popular.

statistically the vast majority are born ‘average’ - being born attractive is extremely rare and considered a boon in life.

I assume this applies for mixed race people as well - so no, I’d expect the vast majority of them to be average and not ‘more attractive’.

This means you’re only getting the basic version of laowai treatment. If you looked like a model, you would automatically have the pro version, but it’s not for everyone – some thrive with the extra attention, while others get stressed out.

If you looked like a supermodel, you would have the deluxe version, and the resulting stress would cause you to break out in hives every time you heard the word hello, unless you spent years training with a 師傅 to prepare yourself for it. :grimacing:

Supermodel plus makeup would give you the deluxe platinum laowai experience, which no 師傅 in the solar system will admit to having been able to master. The last one known to have tried spontaneously combusted and disappeared into a wormhole. :exploding_head:

At the end of the day, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you’ve got the right beholders and the right level of attention for you, just relax and enjoy them while you can. :2cents:

Most modern make-up styles are violently repulsive anyway. Everyone, just leave your fucking eyebrows alone.

Or cover them/it with a bandana!

My children often get compliments on their good looks.

Everyone born in Latin America is considered Hispanic.

Brazilians aren’t Hispanic.

Ok sure. But what I mean if you born in Chile and your parent are from Japan you are still Hispanic

That’s why the US Census has both race and hispanicity checkboxes.

Hispanics are already white. No need to mix with white again. Even if they mix with native South Americans, they can still either be light or dark skinned. And I’m guessing pretty much a third to half of all Hispanics in the world (including Spain) are white.

  1. Get mad at the guy who did the OK Cupid study, not me.
  2. Overwhelming majority of Hispanics in the US are Mestizo.

Actually I wouldn’t change my eyebrows for anything. I like the way they are

Fwiw, some Taiwanese girls have told me that they exclusively date white (Caucasian) guys cause they want to have mixed babies…

There’s definitely some notion here that I don’t fully understand. But oh well

I hear this all the time, and I wonder why they don’t just date a mixed guy? Is mixed baby better than mixed husband? :man_shrugging:t2:

50 50 vs 75 25

I mean why have a 50-50 baby if you can have a 50-50 husband?
