Effect of children's names

According to my friend who works in a primary school back home, most kids have “unique” names now. Same with all the people I know who’ve had kids. I really don’t know what’s wrong with calling your kid Paul or Jessica.
Funnily enough the kids at the school I work at have normal names for the most part. The weirdest one I can think of is named after a fruit.

Is it Apple? Gotta be Apple.

Nah Mango. I think he likes mangoes. Fair enough!

Now that’s a new one. I’ve met about a hundred Apples, but no Mango(e)s.

Silly names are not a new thing,

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Michael-J.-Hunt/e/B0034OZQW6

I can verify this is his given name, i was good friends with his son. (you can guess why he always used his full name)

The onebox just shows the amazon logo and then “amazon.co.uk”.

Uh, yeah, I thought the deal was the guy’s parents named him “amazon.co.uk”.

Isn’t it???

Here I was thinking it was some author’s name we couldn’t see.

An empty onebox is like a dogwhistle to me. Now you know my weakness. :hushed:

You say that like you only got the one.

Yeah. There’s also salt!
