The world’s richest man suggested in an interview that hostilities between the two could be resolved if Taipei handed some control of the democratically governed island to Beijing, prompting praise from China and predictable outrage in Taiwan.
“My recommendation … would be to figure out a special administrative zone for Taiwan that is reasonably palatable, probably won’t make everyone happy,” Musk told the Financial Times in an interview published on Friday. “And it’s possible, and I think probably, in fact, that they could have an arrangement that’s more lenient than Hong Kong.”
Perhaps Musk should stick to selling cars rather than politics?

I’ve been saying this for years, ever since he accused those elite British divers helping rescue the Thai soccer team of pedophilia… because Thailand, I guess. Actually, this was my first thought about Elon when he started to post his “political insights” about Ukraine and Taiwan… I remember this case when a group of Thai school kids got stuck in a cave because of instant flooding. A group of British professional cave divers were planning a rescue operation, then came Elon with all his Twitter and publicity, with a project of his super genious cave submarine. The chief of the divers’ team, rightfully annoyed, told Musk to stick his submarine into his arse (I remember he said not “his arse”, but delicately “into some place from which it is difficult to pull it out”). The operation was successful, the divers rescued all the kids. But Elon got offended, and said that the British diver was a pedophile (of course, if you live in Thailand - you are a pedophile…). I guess there were long suits for defamation, dunno how they all ended… Musk is the icon of the technological progress in the modern world, but don’t forget that such icons are usually assholes on the ethical level…

I was actually just thinking something similar. What if China signed a non-aggression pact with Taiwan in exchange for eventual reunification with no set date. Nothing would change and everyone could go home happy.

I think this was the most successful project so far, the rockets fly and their lower parts land. By the “Icon of Progress”, I mean it in a more philosophical sense, some hero for humanity, charismatic and hyperactive, Tony Stark in real life, otherwise humanity will get too bored while chewing their popcorn…
