Thanks for that. I will try and find the reason when I get time, but its good (in a way) that you found the same thing.
The url tag is useful the way you describe it, as it keeps links from spreading across the whole page. For shorter links though, or where the link is actually linking a url, then it isn’t necessary.
For example:
[url=http://www.taiwanho.com]http://www.taiwanho.com[/url]
http://www.taiwanho.com
and
http://www.taiwanho.com
taiwanho.com
Should give the same result.
Well you probably know that anyway, but when I took out the [url] bit of an offending post, all was well. Curious…

A lot of (actually most) threads aren’t opening for me tonight. Main page looks like this:
Most say “cannot open page”. Not sure what’s up.
I would say that the internet tonight, including forumosa, is (to put it technically) poopy.

I’m having intermittent connection problems too this morning, but the url above is broken because of the bbcode url bug, not network problems. The url is something Malc can fix.
