Forumosa Black mode

OK Black incoming. Any thoughts on the ideal color for text on a black background? I assume not pure white, or are you guys that much of purists

I expected it is pure black

Current color should be fine.
But you could ask @olm, who seems to have a more critical eye for it.

OK I made it the blackest black possible. Give me feedback, text contrast seem OK? Other colors?

Menu link when focused/hovered is
background-color: #4c3319;

May be change to
background-color: #2e2e2e;
same as quotes, etc.

or make all of those darker to

I can change some main colors, and Discourse does the rest of the work by playing off them to create various sub-colors. I think I see which main one to change, let’s see. Don’t be surprised if something weird happens.

How’s this

Background still grey. Black is at the top for comparison

I’m not sure what you mean. I used 000000, and it seems to be being used in the background. Your picture is lighter than the background on my phone. Did you choose Black mode @olm?

You can try hitting the power button. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Very nice!

I don’t know if it was always the case, but the Forumosa logo doesn’t look good on a dark background (none of the three dark modes):

Any way to improve it?
Maybe changing the black letter to one of the Forumosa light colors world be better.

It doesn’t look anything like that for me, weird.

No, are you? I will take a look there shortly.
