Frustration with a Taiwanese Woman

That’s Herpes and its two variations.

HPV causes cervical cancer. There is also a vaccine for it.

Dude, you sound like a reliable responsible guy with a good job. She sounds like a pain in the ass. There’s no goddamn way I’d stick with a gf if she kept up with her former bedmates.

She’s made you a place holder, and she’s making excuses to not even do the minimum to keep you interested.

We used to do happy hours — you need one. Some time with the guys. Next time you talk to her dad, say something like, “I hope I get to see you again. You’ve been very kind to me.” :joy:

she found out she was positive when she was out of Taiwan but didn’t have a follow up here. But she is even hesitant to do a simple blood test to find out why she is too tired of working and always with low energy.

Anyway soon I have to go to a hospital soon for some checks and she has to come with me as a translator and to support me so we agreed to at least try it but it took months to do something simple that you can do anywhere at any moment. It would be worse if we have to go through a GP and they do not transfer you to a specialist for any lame reason.

Get on the plane and go home, she is not interested and it won’t get any better.

Or get a matchmaker to fix him up from home and live the good life in exotic Taipei! Or where ever he is.

I commented before that this has been a rollercoaster so at some point I thought that as she was doing more than a bare minimum, she changed her mind but now I feel that it’s back to the starting point and maybe it’s just bad luck…but the situation cannot stick forever like this.

I prefer to think that she didn’t experience nothing similar in the past so it was just a bad decision without having a clear conscience of the consequences. And at that point I think her reaction was like she was not understanding the issue but now she does.

Dude! If she did this “act” after you guys have been together i.e already bf & gf, then she cheated on you! They tried to have sex 2 nights in a row, definitely showered together, laid on the bed together, he most definitely touched and caressed her private parts, put his mouth there and unfortunately, she was too tired or he didn’t get a hard on or whatever (which is some total BS she made up). I’m pretty sure they banged and even if they didn’t, it is STILL CHEATING!

Move on is the best advice I can give here. But if you’re OK with this, then try working it out with her in other ways like try making your sex life more exciting by using sex toys, lubes, watch porn together and then have sex, go down on her, finger her, try different styles (women love doggy and cowgirl). If she’s on birth control, you guys can go raw and finish inside her cos this will bring you 2 more closer together etc. There are many other ways you can improve on your sex life. It just depends on the both of you. Cheers!

Huh? No, it’s 80% of the population that has had HPV (not all concurrently active). And yes, HPV can in rare cases cause cervical cancer, so of course, it’s a good idea to take the vaccine. But it’s so prevalent in society that it’s weird to make a big deal about contracting it like OP’s gf did.

Taiwanese arent into sex. I mean look at the whole birth rate crises. They see sex mostly as a fun activity done once in a while rather than an act of love. They rather prefer to go to restaurants together where they eat together while each of them are glued on their phones watching reels.

That’s a generalization if I’ve ever seen one.

That’s different than what you asked.

From my perspective, this is not asking if the population has contracted it at one point, but if the 80% of population has it right now. Which is no. Because HPV clears out of the body. Much of the world has contracted Covid, but I don’t think the virus is lingering in the majority of the people around me. In my opinion, when people are asking about HPV in the context of sex, then it would be the specific strains that are transmitted sexually, not that plantar wart I got 20 years ago.

However, Herpes does remain in the body for the rest of your life after infection.

I was saying “no, herpes is not the same as HPV.” You’re the first to bring up herpes. You have me quite confused now. I’m not sure what question you think I asked.

Because I am thinking you confused HPV with herpes, which the majority of people do have right now at this moment.

Herpes is the one that the majority of the world’s population has at this moment right now.

I didn’t.

I could’ve phrased my first reply more precisely, but I stand by my original point.

Oh shit

I forgot to add

Taiwanese who “I dated” .

Then I have to disagree. The AI summary you provided says 12% of women and 31% of men have it.

The virus that the majority of the world’s population have is Herpes. Not HPV.

See above. I didn’t pull the 80% number out of a hat. If it changes anything then fine, “80% of the global population will get HPV at some point” but it feels like splitting hairs. My original point stands that OP’s gf is making a big deal out of something relatively trivial and common.

Will get HPV and have HPV are completely different things.

Is this not what you wrote?

And the answer is No. It’s not true that 80% of the world’s population has this right now, at this moment.

Okay, what’s your overall point here besides being pedantic? There’s not much else to add. Trying to give OP advice. I’ve already clarified fwiw.

I’m not trying to be pedantic.

Because that’s why I thought you confused the two.
