I have taken to a few of these types of places in Taichung (mafia owned) and that’s exactly what they are.A place where upperclass businessmen (and probably mafia) take thier buds and VIPs,and spend wads of doe to impress them.

The jiudian in Taichung are different from those in Taipei. We filter our clients since we do not want “mafia” types in our club. As most businessmen in asia knows, taking VIPs to these places to “impress” them goes a long way to making a business deal work. So, yes, we do cater to them.

Yeah, it’s one of those love it or hate it deals. Many businessmen aren’t exactly thrilled to go to these clubs but like it or not, it’s one of the asian ways for doing business.

I’ve followed the thread but want to ask a simple question or two that hasn’t been answered. Is there a stage? Do girls dance in general [if at all] or do I have to pay for something privately? I’d rather not have to pay 10k for a night. Can I just have a beer and watch women gyrate lovingly on stage?
There are no stages. All dances are lap dances and done in private… ie. within your group’s room. If you are alone, you get your own room. If you are in a group of 4, you’ll get a 4 person room. These rooms are very well decorated and comfortable. Think KTV rooms with top quality furnishings.
There used to be a strip club where you could do that here in Taipei… it went out of business…
If you want a “Wham-bam-thankyou-maam” deal, yes, please go right ahead.
On the otherhand, if you are looking for a relaxed drinking atmosphere where you can drink up with some friends along with some very pretty girls by your side…

The club is setup like Cashbox; that is, with lots of private rooms. The girls do their show dance every hour so if you’re there for 3 hours, you get 3 dances.
As far as costs go:
NT$ 2000 per girl per hour (this means if you are in a group of 5 people and only call for 4 girls, you only get charged for 4 girls and not 5 people)
NT$ 1000 fixed service charge (doesn’t matter how much your bill is, this charge is fixed and not a percentage)
NT$ 2000 fixed “Baoxiang” charge (like the above, it is fixed and not a percentage… charge not applied if in a group of 2 or more people and stay for at least 2 hours)

[color=black]For one person, 2 hours, total charge will be NT$5,500. This is valid if you come into the club anytime from 9pm to 11pm any day of the week except for Fridays and Sundays. Free beer.
Please note that if you have brought larger groups in the past, you will get a better deal.
I’m starting to think that this whole thing is some elaborate prank.
Me and my girls wanted some fun last night and since there’s no decent strip joint in this town where we could see some fine beer-bellied men undress for us, we decided to check this place out… we called the number a couple of times, but every time we some lady on the line and she was mumbling something in chinese we couldn’t understand.
We even went to the corner that was described in the post, but we couldn’t find the place.
Finally, we just ended up going to a KTV bar and had our own little party. Was cheaper too.
I dont think any other venue has had this much attention in such a short time on F.com. In my next venture, I will be certain to drop suggestions of nefarious possibilities and mention boobies etc etc.
Heard a lot of talk, but has anyone actually been there? Im not lured by the subtle suggestive sell or nudge nudge wink wink approach, so an up front account would be appreciated. PM me if you must, but this is a ‘dog following it’s tail’ thread AFAIC.
