Fubon costco credit card

Just foreigners. The reason is because when you do it online it makes an automatic call to other banks etc for information get ascertain your salary, credit score etc…

For citizens this works… but again for foreigners nothing online works. @au Is working on it I believe, but it seems like forever. Meanwhile countries like America seemingly never had a problem with this :man_shrugging: so I am unsure why this is such a big deal…

However you can call their phone line and they’ll give you an email to send the information to and they’ll do it manually.

It’s a hassle I know

Do you mean JCIC? Surely they can’t request your info from other banks… also, the bank can request the info of foreigners from JCIC online, American Express do it

Thanks for asking. Dang I just logged in to my phone and checked yes I can ask on the phone app for an increase.

I just checked my website log in and dang my payment due 10th of each month. Problem with having too many cards is payment due dates lol

By the way Fubon does also have an English language icon on the wesbite…

I thought if you have say 3 cards from one bank, they are all billed on the same day and share the same bill/credit limit.

I just got the costco card. It makes no difference to my credit limit, they’re all on fubon no matter if I use the costco card or the other Tawian mobile card.

But the reward profiles are different. Costco cards only gives costco bucks that can ONLY be used to buy stuff in january or february, and after that can only be used toward membership fees, and they reset on the end of march.

Other cards have different reward profile. The TWN mobile card has higher cash back for Chinese purchase, so I do all taobao purchase with that one.

I have Cube, CTBC and Fubon credit cards… I have no accounts with these banks so no auto deduct. I missed one payment on Fubon but cleared my card on next payment. I will clear the owing balance this week. My Costco card only used for purchases at Coscto… my CTBC for everything else. My Cube is just a hangover from having the Cathay card before.

I use E Sun bank but have fubon cards.

I have to remember to transfer payment to it when a bill comes out. If it’s just one bank this is easy, but not if it’s 3 different banks.

There is autopay, but only works if you have an account with that bank.

I believe all my credit cards allow me to set up automatic payment from accounts at other banks.

Yes but it is a manual request. I know, I know it is stupid. But it’s the situation we have and why no online applications work…

I probably could but I prefer to either transfer funds from my bank account to say my CTBC card, or just put the cash in when at Coscto ATM or in the 7/11 CTBC machine.

One missed payment won’t hurt as long your score as you clear it asap. However you will be charged a late fee along with interest…

First thing after getting a credit card I do is to call the service center to change the due date to my preferential day of the month.
I also keep a spreadsheet tracking monthly spend on each card. Helps me keep track when I hit the target for fee wavering for the next year.

Oh you can change it? I didn’t know that!

Did the same last month! Happened to have a couple of business trips on the card so 70+ K for the interest, plus the penalty…I don’t recall receiving any special notice from them, all my other cards send a nice pdf every month with billing details well in advance of due date. Just paid this months bill on Saturday however their website says payment takes 2 business days to go through and due date was Sunday…

Didn’t know that was possible! Would certainly be nice to have them all the same day.

If that is the case… I would take that to the FSC complaining that you never received the bill. Usually they will wipe the interest.

Doesn’t Fubon has an NT$60k spend per year to waive the card fee?

We have “digital citizens” cards for foreigners too… However… it still doesn’t work due to foreignness. @au One would think that you could open a bank account such as “Richart” with a digital citizens card and not have staff at Richart manually verifying photos of both the back and the front of an ARC like in the dark ages…

This is often buried somewhere in the terms and not clearly displayed in the website. I don’t have a Fubon credit card though.

For example HSBC Cashback Business Titanium Credit Card one need to use digital statements and have over 80k spent per year.

I also have AMEX which has 60k and hit the threshold after 6 months. Now I will mostly use HSBC card.

This is pretty nice, but it is not used widely yet. Hopefully in the future it is adopted by more services.

Actually not hard to find it’s in your spend to date folder. Weird thing is that is shows 2023/05 yet I did not apply for the card until July 2023. I remember applying about a month before the change over. I use Fubon only at Coscto and China Airlines CTBC card for everything else.

CTBC also has 60K spend no card fee
