I am actually quite relaxed. No regrets. Take some profit. Rinse and repeat.

Currently my favorite stocks are Microsoft, Nio, and AMD

This is a boring dividend play list…

Basically energy…

Yeah that whole list was almost energy…Bit of a snoozefest.

It’s a monster . I got my dividend payment yesterday too.

I am FOMOing right now

You mean TSMC? There’s still so much runway for it to grow being the leader in 7, 5 and probably 3 and 2 nm and also with 5G and AI and IOT likely to spur a good market growth spurt. And being in Taiwan you don’t have currency risk, NTD in fact is super strong and they pay dividends. Happy they forced me to buy a single stock but their single stocks are getting pricier lol.

Going to look into it. But I only buy stocks in the US right now.

You could buy their ADR listing (NYSE: TSM)

What’s the dividend here? For the US they pay out about 2%

Similar.

I’m trying to decide if I want to put together my own group of higher dividend yield stocks or just so an etf geared towards that. I’ve not found an etf that looks better than assembling my own boring list, with fewer energy stocks of course.

That’s embarrassing.

Quick question for the group.

My Taiwanese sister in law, living in Taiwan, wants to buy American stocks.

Can she do this and how? The capital gains taxes are gonna bite, right?

Not according to:
Taiwan - Individual - Income determination.

Capital gains
Taiwan does not impose a separate capital gains tax (CGT), as all gains, unless specifically exempted by law, or as otherwise regulated, are assessed as ordinary income and subject to regular income tax assessment. CGT on securities has been abolished effective from 1 January 2016. Please note that capital gains derived from sales of Taiwan-based securities prior to 1 January 2016 are still subject to CGT if certain conditions are met.

What’s not embarrassing?
