Because it’s the same ole shtick.
No one is asking you to apologise.
You just have to have a thick skin yourself to accept some people don’t agree and might find it boring.
Of course most people sit in that spectrum, but a large enough minority have been convinced not to. This is causing considerable issues.
So not everybody then.
Thank you for the advice, Polonius.
No. It was hyberbole.
Welcome. I’m bored with the accusations that everyone is scared and fearful and don’t know what they are doing.
If you said the government especially local authorities I might agree more personally.
The Igster!
Good video to describe the current situation. I’m bored enough to even argue about this lol. Have a good Sunday.

You could buy the Roche 5 test box for NT$1,800 last month. I don’t know if they’re still in stock now or if the price has changed. COVID-19: Self-tests on sale in nation’s north; stores plan broader rollout - Taipei Times
I was wondering about buying one of those. Amazon prices are around USD$100. But if I had one, I’m not sure what would happen, beyond me being in classrooms or restaurants and despairing over the air quality.
A Vox piece about using these as a good proxy for air quality:
The TW govt should extend assistance to english teachers, not just the ones with APRC but the ones with the normal ARC too as the TW govt is always talking about making Taiwan bilingual , like Singapore. Quite a LONG way to go and this would be helpful…the subsidy saying “we care”.
Some of them even pay labour insurance and they all pay tax but they get nothing back.
Foreigners in Taichung can’t even ride the bus for free like the locals (with Taichung household registration) can, unless you are a student or married to Taiwanese…
How do they know?
To get the free bus fare in Taichung you have to register your EasyCard at the district office, so as long as you meet the requirements your card will give you a free ride on the bus. For Taiwanese you need to have household registration in Taichung or be a student at a school in Taichung. For foreigners you need to be a student at a school in Taichung or be married to a Taiwanese.

Blockquote I’m afraid we won’t be able to give the pay you are asking for. We’ve already cut our tuition to 20% as everything is online, not to mention we don’t have 100% attendance of all the students.
this will be the excuse for the next 3 years.
